At Hampstead School, we believe that every student enriches our community and brings something truly unique to our school. Our families and governors also play an integral role in making our school a vibrant place. This term, it has been wonderful to see our new Year 7 students settling in and finding their confidence, as well as our Year 12 students becoming fully integrated members of our school community.
This week, we were honoured to welcome the School of Sanctuary project, which works with young people seeking sanctuary in the UK. The project aims to raise awareness of the experiences of those seeking safety and plays a vital role in promoting kindness, compassion, and understanding. Additionally, we are collaborating with the University of Sussex to explore new ways of fostering a sense of belonging at Hampstead School. These initiatives provide a valuable opportunity to celebrate the inclusive nature of our school as well as finding further ways strengthen a sense of belonging in our community.
We are also focusing on incorporating gratitude into our daily practices. Each morning, students take part in a gratitude reflection, written by students themselves. This allows them to pause and reflect on the things they are grateful for.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to our families for your ongoing support throughout this term. We wish everyone a restful and well-deserved half-term break.
